There is no doubt that everybody wants to be happy! Yet, there are many people whose state of happiness is easily affected by their poor inner state of mind or various negative influences from the outside world… Let’s talk about what ‘happiness’ means to you and how can you still be happy despite the negative influences around you.
What is ‘happiness’? Is it a state of mind? Is it a state of health? Is it about having your loving family members and friends around you? Or is it about having lots of money?...
I’d like to share my opinion on this subject based on the Universal Laws, as well as my personal experience and research.
One of the Universal Laws, called the 'Law of Correspondence', states that there is "harmony, agreement and correspondence" between the physical, mental and spiritual realms.
Let’s start by talking about ‘harmony’ mentioned in the law above and see where it takes us… You might argue, “How can I live in harmony or be happy if I feel pessimistic while the world around me is full of misery?…” When I started my own journey in search for the harmony, I came to realise that in order for the world around me to change for the better, I had to initiate the change from within myself (“Be the change that you wish to see in the world”, Ghandi)…
My journey to initiate the change from within has been challenging and exciting at the same time. I can describe this process as “Awakening of the Conscious Mind” or changing the way I used to think in the past … As a result of the awakening of my conscious mind, I started experiencing wonderful things and feelings of ever increasing inner peace and well being, which eventually led to the sensation of being One with the world around me. That brought me True Happiness.
Based on my experience, I have discovered and unveiled the connection between ‘harmony’ and ‘happiness’ - I have learnt that I feel truly happy only when my body, my mind and my soul are aligned and in perfect harmony with whatever is around me (my surroundings, people, events and everyday challenges). Therefore, the key to the transformation towards being happy is to find harmony in everything around you by transforming yourself first!
